Babies are wonderful. There is nothing better than a new born baby.

When people think of death the last thing they would think of would be a baby dying at birth. With all the wars and bad events of the world its hard to think of a stillborn baby. Although it is not very common, it is definitely something to think about. By learning a little about it, you can save yourself some grief. It is hard to prevent a baby from dying at birth but knowing some of the warning signs may help you prepare. The loss of a baby through stillbirth can be overwhelming and devastating. A stillbirth of babies is a great loss, as great as that of an older child or any loved one.

When someone has a stillborn, it is natural to grieve deeply.

All the hopes and dreams they had for the child long before the birth are suddenly gone. You may feel a strong sense of sadness, anger, or bitterness at the unfairness of this tragedy. You may experience feelings of loneliness and longing, helplessness, or, because of the intensity of your emotions, confusion. Many parents also feel guilt when they lose their babies. They often wonder if they did something to cause their baby’s death.

If you know someone who had a stillborn baby, you may find that they just want to be alone. It is ok, its normal to want to be alone to deal with the situation. It takes time to wrap your mind around a baby that never got a chance. Grieving is a long process. Grieving is not easy. It is unpredictable, and requires a lot of energy. But you need time to grieve since grieving is necessary to work through pain toward healing.
